One of those friends heard him but couldn't believe her ears at first. Not wanting to take chances, however, Sheena dashed through the garden in the direction she heard him calling. She skidded to a halt when she saw the white-haired youth who was her friend being chased by a swarm of zombies. Did the hotel bring them here, too? It really didn't matter. Genis finally got a reply to his calls for help:

"Ancient ruler of the elements! I summon thee, come Maxwell!"

And in true Maxwell form, he appeared--along with several meteors--to obliterate the zombies between her and her friend.

[ooc: She's from right after ToS, but she's been here a year....So, she's technically 20. And Corrine was never "reborn" for her.]

Genis halted as he smelt fiery meteors and he looked, seeing the rocks falling from the sky. He heard her voice summoning the ancient spirit of the elements. "Sheena?" Genis quickly then cast a barrier spell to protect himself from the impact. A bubble of green light shielded around him to absorb the shock of the impact of large meteors that smashed the ground and killed the zombies in their path.

"You got it," she said, waiting for Maxwell's spell to run its course before running over to him. The Spirit disappeared without a word--and without leaving any zombies behind.

She stopped in front of her friend and a confused look covered her features. He was a bit taller than she remembered. "Genis?"

The zombies that were chasing him are gone for the moment. He can hear the faraway groans and grunts of the zombies at the distance. He stopped to capture his breath, his lungs are burning.

"Sheena, is that you? This place is crazy!"

[OOC: lazy!Jade, jadedkill. He's a lazy guy.]

"Victory Light Spear!" Apparently, Genis wasn't alone here. Tethe'alla's chosen had found himself in the same situation on the young mage, when all chaos broke lose. Almost dancing his way into the opening with such a graceful attack.

The enemy was nothing like the monsters he'd fought on his regeneration journey , nor were they like the tormented beings that had mutated in human ranches due to experimentations with expheres. No, these were mindless zombies, easy to kill but could easily overpower from sheer numbers alone.

Prancing out in a pose after taking down a few zombies, Zelos posed, flicked his hair back and set a hand to a hip. " Don't be hatin' on me cause I'm beaut--!! Oh what!?" His eyes almost popped out of his head, stance falling and pointing over to the half-elf. " Its you , I though! from behind then! you were... aw thought you were your sister, brat."

Sighing, shaking his head. Great, its the end of humanity and he's stuck with a guy.. just wonderful. Oh well, could be worse... maybe.

The zombies, the stinking, rotten walking corpses were human once. That was what made the experience as equally frightening as dealing with the monsters they fought on the journey. They were once alive with a mind and free-will and now they're mindless monsters.

Genis stopped to capture his breath, giving an incredulous look to his savior. "My sister...?" Goddess, does the red head have to mention his sister? The half-elf leaned on a tree, bending over his knees to have his much-needed break. How long he has been running? He felt like he ran a marathon. He coughed a bit, his throat is dry, and burning from all of that running.

"T-thanks, Zelos."

[OOC: As if Genis needed an adult. Eee, a Zelos! x3]

While Genis caught his breath, Zelos made sure the area they were resting in was safe. It wasn't the best place to stop for a breather that was sure, so the redhead prince charming pulled an apple gel from his back pocket and tossed it over to the boy. "Here, you can owe me one later, maybe cook us up some cabbage rolls when we get outta here aye?" Still on guard with his sword drawn. "Its not safe here, so take that and lets move on. I think I saw a house along the way back there, we could probably hold up in it. Say, Bud ain't with you? Non of the others?"

Zelos might not have been the first person Genis would have wished to be stranded in a zombie outbreak with, but he was at least a safe bet, not as if he's let anything happen to the boy and his combat skills were excellent, so that was a bonus - not to mention that if they happened to pass any ladies along the way, the could pick up supplies and money from them.

Genis's eye light up and he caught the apple gel in his hand. He popped it into his mouth, chew it thoroughly, and swallowed it. He felt his energy and his vitality restored. Zelos can maybe annoying, but he knows he can trust him, he's a good-guy.

He snorted and followed Zelos closely. "S-sure..." Genis stammered a bit because he was still shaken by today's horrors. "Let's hope the food that are left on this island are still edible...and no, I haven't seen anybody except you."

Highly doubtful if those ladies are struggling for survival and they wanted to keep the supplies to save their skins. The most likely scenario would be those ladies are more desperate to cling to them for protection.
