The Garage

Oct 17, 2011 19:05

The first thing one would notice upon entering the garage was the man (or woman from this angle it was hard to tell) bent over the engine of a sleek black car. A mechanic's jump suit was tied around the waist and a red t-shirt was covering the torso. Long pale blonde hair was pulled back into a high ponytail ( Read more... )

If you don't mind someone you've already met. ;) luvs_yogurt October 18 2011, 04:15:55 UTC
Michael watched quietly from the bay doors as the familiar form stopped over the front end of the car - a BMW? Looked like it could be... if it were even from his own world, which it probably wasn't. Intrigued, he took the liberty of lifting a blue jumpsuit carelessly left behind - still deeply scented with sweat and grease. Thankfully, he'd dressed down in jeans and after shucking his button down a plain white t-shirt worked out just fine under the zippered front of the one-piece.

Seeing Zechs push up from the car and wrap his lips around the cold bottle, he cleared his throat loudly and stepped into the otherwise empty garage.

"Hey there." A thin smirk crossed his lips as he slowly approached the workbench.

He didn't seem to hear Michael at first, Zechs was staring at something on the floor. Just a spot on the floor really. His mind had wandered off. He had started thinking about so many different things. His past, his friends, his future. Treize, Lucrezia... To an extent Une. He sighed and then looked up.

Oh.

There was someone in the garage with him. He watched the man for a moment before nodding to him. "Hello." he said.

"Don't let me interrupt." Michael smiled slightly, raking a hand through his hair. He stopped at the opposite end of the workbench, quietly running his hand over a crescent wrench.

"Need a hand?" He asked casually. He wasn't the best with cars, but when it came down to it a machine was just a system of logical steps and any mechanical problem was just a matter of tracing the routine from termination to origin and fixing what isn't supposed to be the way it happens to be. Besides, a little bit of grease under the nails didn't bug him.

Zechs watched Michael, not moving from his place near the workbench. He was quiet, aloof. Quite different from their last encounter. He tossed his hair out of his eyes and pushed away after a moment. He walked over to Michael and the car.

"Do you even know what you're doing?" he asked after a moment of watching him. His face was void of an expression and right now he was just staring at the other man.

Tristan stepped into the garage, pausing just inside the doorway as his gaze took in both the mechanic and the vehicle he was working on. The hair color was unusual enough to warrant a second look, especially when he realized the person doing the work was indeed male.

Attractively so, and his eyes lingered on the play of muscle under the fabric before he coughed to alert the other man to his presence.

He looked up and for a moment, didn't do anything. After a moment he moved away from the workbench and slowly made his way over to the man. Well, not too close as he wasn't sure what to expect. Zechs stood up the car he had just been working on and crossed his arms over his chest.

"May I help you?" His words where short, clipped. It didn't seem that he was much of a people person, but at the same time, there was something behind his icy blue eyes.
