The sun is slowly setting beyond the horizon, the sky turning pink, orange and purple as the air slowly, slowly turns from warm to cool. Spain is now taking the time to take a rest and just enjoy his surroundings. He's not quite sure what the Hotel has planned but he likes this floor a lot. The dude ranch has a couple of his favorite things, namely

Aaron had always loved animals. As a child who was too shy and quiet to be noticed or want to make himself noticed, they had often been his main company when his brother was busy. On top of that, Aaron had a particular love for horses. Being able to go horseriding...it reminded him of the cavalry and J.E.B. Stuart and despite being stuck in the hotel he finds the nostalgia atleast serves to lift his mood, even after he had returned the horse he had ridden to the stables himself.

It's because of his good mood mainly that he decides to approach Spain whereas otherwise he likely would have gone on his way rather than bother the other Nation.

"Hello there. Mind some company?"

The funny thing is if Spain got to know Aaron, really know him, there would be quite a few things he could point out the unhealthiness of.

Confederacy's eyes glance towards the stables, smiling lightly. "They're cert'ly somethang, ain't they?"

Perhaps. Then again, the same thing can be said about Spain. They're probably alike in some ways more than anyone realizes.

Spain smiles as he follows his gaze towards the stables. He can still remember the way he and the horse worked together. It's as if they've known each other forever. "They are."

That's entirely possible. Aaron's a gregarious creature, he's good at getting along with others. Of course, that also depended on whether he wanted to get along with them at all in the first place.

He chuckles. "I wouldn' expect anythang less."

He turns back to Aaron and smiles at him, as he always probably will. "How long have you been here? How has this place been treating you?"

And Aaron likewise returns the smile politely. "A while now. It's..."

He trails off. He supposed the hotel hasn't been too terrible, even if he has constantly been with different versions of his brother, but then any argument of that would almost be more out of principle than any real protest. So, he smiles again, a bit more amused this time. "It's been jus' fine. What of yerself? Hopefully it ain't been too terrible."

In answer to that, Spain shrugs, smiling with probably the same amusement Aaron has for their situation. "Not really, no. This place seems to be a terrible place for a lot of people and I can see how, but so far, it hasn't been that bad of an experience."

He hasn't really met anyone unpleasant so far and for that he counts himself lucky.

"I've honestly hardly seen anyone here. Yer tha first that ain't some...version I 'pose of Alfred. Somehow I've a talent fer runnin' inta him." Which at this point almost seemed to be putting it lightly. The Confederate honestly isn't sure if it's a good or bad thing. Sure, the Union may be the only person he has left, short of the Cherokee Nation, but still...the Union was also the nation he's been at war with.

Spain nods in answer to that. "I haven't really met a lot of people either. Mostly Hungary and Prussia. Also me as a woman, which is strange." Very strange. He's never thought that somewhere, out there, there would exist a woman who is actually him as a woman.

"It turned me inta a woman recently. Strange is a understatement there." He rubs the back of his head, almost embarrassed. Out of everything the Hotel has done, that would be the thing he disliked most.

Spain smiles with a bit of understanding. "Well, it hasn't turned me into a woman yet but I wouldn't be surprised if it does later on..." Spain's a pretty easygoing guy. If he were changed into a girl, he'd learn to accept and live with it after a while. He still hopes that he'll turn back though.

"It does have a way of bein' ridiculous, don' it?" Sometimes, to CSA 'ridiculous' seemed the best way to describe the Hotel. Atleast, it wasn't wholly inaccurate. Still though, Aaron would be more surprised if stranger things hadn't happened at some point.
