There was something about the rooftops that Travis just liked. Finding this place hadn't been too much of a big deal, he's seen what this place as capable of. But the rooftop landscape of this city was something else altogether. It almost felt like something out of a video game, possibly one by Ubisoft. He'd been running and jumping from rooftop to ( Read more... )

After wandering around the damn place for an hour and finding no one to explain to her where she was, Minatsuki decided she needed to get some air and walked out onto a fairly large balcony only a floor down from the roof. She was beyond frustrated. So far she hadn't seen anyone at all who could tell her how the hell she could get back to where she was before and of course answer that other question about the strange place ( ... )

He had sworn he had seen her muttering before hand, and definitely not in the sweetheart sort of way, but he must have been mistaken. And while he likes to claim he wasn't an idiot in his line of work, when a sweet little girl smiled sweet little smiles at him, he tend to think they were sweet as sugar and nothing but.

Still, he wanted company, and she WAS cute.

"Hell, I'll tell you everything you wanna know and sing you a little song." He smirks at her. "But only if you get up here."

"Okay. I'll be up in a sec!" She said and waved to him . She knew exactly where the stairs that lead to the roof were located. She passed a door back in the hall that was marked Roof Access. Easy enough. At least she didn't have to go aimlessly walking through some stupid maze.

Just up a simple flight of stairs or two. She went back inside, exiting the room and walking down the the hall to the marked door, which she pulled open. She went up the staircase and walked out of the door.

When she did, she was amazed by the view of the city. It was beautiful. She never got to see anything like it where she was from. Back at Deadman Wonderland it was filled with carnage and fueled by bloodshed.

"Uhm, hello?" She asked as she smoothed out a few wrinkles on her pink dress.

Travis had figured she was going to find a staircase up. She didn't look the climbing, roof leaping type. So he had found his way back to the stairs that would lead a person to the roof, settling in on top of the entrance way and sitting with his legs hanging off the side. He was half tempted to chuck another pebble at her head, what with being an incorrigible troll and all, but instead opted to whistle at her, waving for her when she turned around.

"So, newbie to the place, huh?" A look around. "I'm guessing you're not just referring to this little slice of Europe either."

A gamer just like Roi recognized the scenery immediately. Venice. A place of lovely architecture and breathtaking views. Honestly, he had been considering heading up to the roofs anyway, just because climbing and running were what he was good at. He yelped when the pebble struck his hood-clad head, and he frowned up at Travis until he heard the invitation.

"Just wait up! I'll be right up!" he chirped. Looking around, he took a breath, and then leapt for the first hand-hold he could find, latching on. He was glad that he was good at climbing - otherwise he'd find it scary as he climbed higher and higher.

Within a moment, he was on the roofs, panting just slightly from the sudden exertion. Hunched over slightly as he was, his ears were hidden, but his tail was not. His silvery, striped tail flicked and swayed out behind him.

Travis had since inched away from the edge of the roof, sitting down with legs stretched out and arms behind him, hands pressed against the surface of the Venetian rooftop. He had been watching from where the sounds coming from, and had a good chance to take a look at his companion. Quite the interesting person, really.

He waved him over with a mischievous little smile, picking up the hints of tiredness from him. "You should try jumping around from rooftop to rooftop for a while. Now that takes it out of you." And builds up a hunger, though for what he wasn't precisely sure about.

Walking over without losing his balance, Roi moved to sit down beside Travis, crossing his legs. "I usually only have to run and climb when I fear for my life, really. I might try that - from rooftop to rooftop - in a moment." Though telephone poles really weren't that good of a hiding spot, he had to admit....

Tugging his hood back in order to air out his ears, the appendages perked and swiveled forward.

"Really, I'm better at climbing trees and going between them."

"You sure seem to be pretty good at the climbing stuff. Is your life on a regular fear table or something?" He leans over to give the boy a good once over. You don't see very many cat boys around here. At least, he didn't. Which, given the way they seem to appear in Japanese ero manga, is kinda weird.

"There's a certain kind of fun to this shit. Of course, half of it is knowing that one wrong step could equal one splat on the floor."

Oh boy. It looks like he had found himself a winner. You know, it seemed sort of criminal that anyone was that miserable and angry looking in a setting like this but he didn't say anything. Rather, he didn't have much a chance to, before suddenly she was up there and glaring at him. And what did he do?

He totally smirked and looked happy, rolling backwards and pushing to his feet. Hey, he did say fun, and he did like a fight. "That's a neat little trick. I wouldn't have turned down a couple seconds to pretty myself up first, but I'm not complaining." He had his beam katanas on him if need be, but he'd rather not have to fight a death match. Just a fun little fight.

"Fun means all sorts of things. And I'm ready to dance whichever dance you want, pinky."

Travis laughed at that, though not in a mocking sense. More in that whole "Where have you been all my life" sense. Like the kind of guy that hears a flirt where others hear a death threat. It doesn't help that Travis always did get feelings of euphoria from a good life or death fight.

"Well, I won't now." He stretches himself out, craning his neck to either side, and patting the different devices on the harness he was wearing. "Course, same to you, sweetheart. I can't say I wanna cut up a girl, but I can't go soft on you either. A fight's a fight after all."

[ooc: Should I be worried? XD]

The pebble ended up bouncing off the head of a certain gray skinned delinquent known as Devit who was standing in a balcony a few floors down. Moments ago he'd been doing something very similar. that is he was chucking pebbles and little bits of gravel at people passing by below him and then ducking out of view when they looked around.

So it was rather ironic when one hit him.

"There are better fucking ways of getting a guy's attention!" He glared up and flipped the offender the bird.

...But he didn't really have much to do himself, and flicking stuff at people was beginning to get old. So he shrugged and made his way up there, clambering up some thick vines growing along the wall. (why would he go inside and take something as mundane as the stairs?)

"I could have thrown a brick." Was all the response Devit would could, unless he counted that big ol 'I'm a fucking asshole' smile plastered all over his face. Travis had since gotten to his feet again, making his way towards the middle of the roof and taking a new seat. He hadn't really been looking for anyone in particular, so he wasn't sure what he was gonna get.

Which, really, just made things more fun.

"Well it wouldna worked cause everyone is always going on about what a thick skull I have," the Noah informed Travis. Of course the people who told him he had a thick skull might not have necessarily meant it as a compliment. He took it as one though, "Woulda fucking bounced right off."

He was surprisingly athletic and agile for someone as scrawny as he was and it didn't take him long at all to scramble up. Normally he wouldn't be excepting invitations from random humans but... he felt this guy had something of a similar spirit or some shit. That asshole grin at least, it was something that often graved Devit's face.

"See, that's just really making me want to try and see if it does. I mean, I've heard of hard heads, but that's really something." Of course Travis wasn't being serious, even if Devit might have been. He waited for the guy to get up here, since it didn't look like he was going for the stairs. That he liked, too many people went for the staircase when all they had to do was climb a little.

( OOC: Sorry for the re-post! )

The hotel, for all the terrible tricks and debauchery encouraging, could be lovely sometimes. Nothing was ever quite so simple as a nice view or a pretty garden, though, and she knew better ... but Usagi didn't consider the possible alternative motives as she leaned out over the white stone rail of the balcony.

That was when the pebble bounced off her sunshine hair, effectively halting her admiration. A hand shot up to rub at the offended spot, it really didn't hurt that much, as she tilted her head up to catch who had tossed it.

"W-What?" she sputtered, cheeks flush. "No way!"

He had a second pebble at the ready, just in case he missed. Though to be honest, it wasn't all that likely he would. Her head was practically a bullseye, what with the gorgeous blond hair and the two meatballs providing a sort of outline.

He put on a sad face, and leaned over a bit more, somewhat hanging off the roof. "Puh-leeeeeeease?"

Her pout set lips thinned into a line. She was sort of a sucker for sad puppy faces -- even one like his. Still, Usagi didn't make any move to wander back inside and toward the proper staircase.

"Why? And did you really have to throw that?" she softly huffed, looking mildly less perturbed.

He inches just a little bit more off, to a point that one might call dangerous or absolutely retarded. He's still puppy dog facing at her though.

"What, you've never been on a rooftop over someone who's attention you wanted to get before? I would have written you a love letter, but the wind probably would have blown it away to someone else. And wouldn't you feel bad then!"
