Since some people could not be trusted with skeleton keys, Shura had been moved from her previous job as maintenance worker to geisha. The only problem was, how did one make this tomboyish girl built for and enjoying sports and combat into a graceful, skilled dancer and artist without the years of training actual maiko had to go through? Why, with ( Read more... )

He couldn't find her anywhere. He'd seen other hotel staff mulling about with carts, but Shura hadn't been anywhere in sight. And when he'd asked about it, all he'd gotten was some pat response about her being "transferred." They wouldn't even tell him WHERE she'd been transferred, but from the shifty glances he'd gotten in response to the question, he'd had a terrible feeling in his gut that it wasn't anywhere good.

He can honestly say that an old-fashioned geisha house would have been the last place he'd have suspected.

He'd found the place on accident; seeing her as an option was the shocker. So he's slipped in, hat low, a scarf he'd found somewhere wrapped high up on his face to hide some of his more distinctive features. Playing it casual, he makes the request for her company and sits in the room, waiting.

A figure perfectly wrapped in a kimono walked to him with delicate steps, the swishing of the silk the only sound in the room until she spoke. "Good evening, sir." Her smile widened at the sight of Kotetsu and she bowed. "How may I entertain you tonight?"

He looks at her, lowering the scarf a bit to show the wry smile, and a hint of the beard. "Oh, I don't know. Figured we'd start with some tea, maybe some conversation. I like talking about heroes myself."

He has to admit, she's pretty gorgeous in that getup. Still, it is a little odd.

She coyly hid her grin behind her sleeve. "Sounds like fun," she agreed as she walked to a chest in the far side of the room to retrieve the tea set. With his back turned to him, it was possible to see how her red-lined collar lovingly framed her nape and her horn for the pleasure of her guests' gaze.

Several minutes later, now sitting on her heels by him, Shura handed Kotetsu a perfectly prepared bowl of steaming tea, smiling. "Heroes, you said?"

Ami hadn't seen Shura in a while, but she hadn't been looking specifically, either. It was always good to know where to find her friends when things got out of hand, but with the way the hotel switched things around so often, keeping room numbers was the best she could do. That day she'd set out to do a little exploring, after seeing signs advertising a new area of the hotel dedicated to the geisha and related arts. That fascinated her, and the prospect of some good tea and conversation spoke to her.

After finally tracking down the place and slipping inside, she looked around in awe at the architecture and design. Her smile brightens when she sees the familiar name on the listing at the front, though she does have a hard time picturing Shura doing that sort of work. It was worth seeing it for herself she figured. After a few moments of lingering outside, she was shown into the room and let her eyes adjust to the light.

"Greetings," came Shura's soft, low voice as she ushered into the room, steps almost silent on the tatami save for the rustling of her kimono's silk. She smiled at her guest. "Ami. How may I entertain you today?"

"Hello, Shura," she said, offering a polite bow. Ami's face grew pink as she looked upon the other woman. She looked beautiful, very different from the last time they'd met. Naturally it took her a moment to respond, but when she finally did her voice was soft and timid. "Could we begin with some tea, please?"

"Of course," she said as she headed for one of the discreet chests in the room. A few minutes later, everything was set up for an informal, yet perfectly executed tea ceremony, even if Shura's eyes seemed a bit unfocused as she gracefully prepared Ami's tea.
