Zelgadiss paused in the midst of closing the door as he was addressed. Of course, he should have checked whether the room was already occupied. At least he recognized her.

"Fatima." He sighed, brushing a hand through his hair. "Sorry. I was looking for somewhere to get away from the party; just my luck I found a room that was already occupied, but I suppose I should have noticed you were gone."

He smiled wryly. "I guess you were trying to get away, too, weren't you?"

"Sorry. That one's definitely not true." He smiled at her reassuringly. "I'm assuming that's an invitation to come back, then? Or do you just not want me to leave in the... first..." He blushed a little as he realized what he was saying. "Um. Sorry."

Fatima gave him another smile, though it was still shy and her eyes were on the floor.

"If the Rev Magic Academy is too crowded for you to stand being around, I understand." she said with a nod. "I won't hold it against you, but...I would like it if you didn't."

"... If you want me to, I'll stay," he replied softly, scooting a little closer to her now in a vague attempt to reassure her. His hand covered hers, givin git a gentle squeeze.
