A truck would be a stretch to fit into a hallway, but this place almost seemed to... adapt and shift forms, so who's to say? On the other end, the Princess continued her leisurely stroll, every so often unfurling her fingers to reinvigorate the sensation of circulating blood and ward off stiffness. Familiar dark clothes against pale skin soon came into view from around the corner just up ahead. She blinked in surprise, her gait slowing but not stopping.

She stopped, her hand disappearing up her sleeve though the faint 'tap tap tap' of the knife against her palm could still be heard as she watched the other approach. Of all the people she'd run into from home (and she'd run into a lot) she hadn't actually seen Azula here. For whatever that was worth.
"...I didn't know you were in the hotel." She said once the other got closer.

The older girl was obviously brandishing a knife, the tapping of cool metal against skin becoming more discernible upon Azula's advance. Very typical of the dour noblewoman to carry a sharp instrument in hand, particularly in unfamiliar surroundings. Mai was one of the most favorable people Azula could encounter, and it served to put her at ease.
No longer anticipating a threat, the Firebender wound to a halt mere meters from her friend. "I didn't know you were here, either."
