Her calloused fingertips dragged over the satiny walls of the Hotel's hallway; her steps were light and careful as a fawn's as she studied her surroundings as she half expected a predator to show up and drag her into one of the rooms with it’s claws. Of course, the predator would realize Katara had more than a few tricks when it came to getting ( Read more... )

Buckles unsnap and fabric ties unfurl as the Fire Princess sets about extricating herself of suddenly oppressive armor. Stripped down to more breathable layers, a hand lifts to wipe clean the moisture beading on her brow.

It's sweltering, this tepid air, so much as to cause one born amidst the tropics to throw a sweat. Even the Fire Nation is relieved of mugginess by the occasional cool breeze that sweeps across the ocean, but this room has no ventilation -- it's stagnant and sticky. Vapor arises with nearly every breath, her own inner warmth fueling the humidity swirling about the enclosed space like a sauna ( ... )

The whip of water curves back in the air and the young woman moves with the flowing motion, eyes locked upon the door. She cannot help think it's warmer in here than it is out in the hallway and the humidity is becoming more of a curse than a blessing. Katara's body isn't used to the heat and she's suddenly reminded of the time that was now... nearly a year and a half ago. When Toph and she were locked in a Fire Nation town in a cell made of wood and no water besides her own sweat.

She's a master now, trained by the best of the North and the best of the Southern tribes, no matter how she may feel about Sifu Pakku and Hama. Katara is not going to let another door get between her and freedom.

Then the sharp, almost saccharine and intelligent voice of a young woman fills the room and echoes in her ears. The water whip falls to the ground with a resounding splash and she whirls around to face the announcer, and she drinks the atmosphere of the room. It's unpleasant, even worse than the hallway and the rooms she peeked into priorAnd of ( ... )

Even before realizing her company, Katara is intent on escaping her new surroundings. What would cause her so much fervency? Granted, this isn't the most ideal of places to become stranded in, and the first things the Princess noticed upon her arrival were the unmistakable sounds and scents of sex permeating the air, extending outward to the neutrality of the hall. Brothels are scattered about their world, so the atmosphere didn't come as a complete and utter shock to her.

But what Azula doesn't know is the extent of the Hotel's power; the necessity of the acts. Her heated foe is the first person she's encountered face to face. Without further explanation, she remains clueless as to the extent of her, now their, predicament ( ... )

Katara hasn't witnessed the power of the hotel personally; not yet. Being forced to have sex with strangers was one thing, being made to do whatever whims this dangerous place had on top of that was... Inevitable, she supposed, but she had meant to give herself some control of her destiny. She had hoped when the hotel finally caught her, it wouldn't be with the person who tried (did kill) Aang ( ... )
