It had been just another day in the palace for Azula. For once, everything was right with the world and all was in its proper place. Her brother had finally gotten over his foolish obsession with honor (thanks in part to Mai) and she had leverage over him. After all, he was supposedly responsible for the Avatar's death. And if the Avatar turned ( Read more... )

This was not Simeon, and truthfully, this was not a place the URTV recognized at all, nor where he would have expected to be after any 'death' of his. He had been fortunate enough to wake up in the palace armory, so at least he had some armor at his disposal to fit in -- not that he needed it.

After hastily throwing on a rather ill-fitting Fire Nation uniform (and neglecting to wear a helmet), Albedo immediately sets off to explore his new surroundings. He had high hopes of finding... something, he wasn't sure what -- or someone! Someone or something interesting. He doesn't get far before he hears the clicking of shoes against the polished floor coming his way, and he sidles behind a column in wait...

Azula paused, arms akimbo as she stared at the empty hallway. Had she seen movement...? What if this was some sort of elaborate assassination attempt? But they would be after her father, not her. She shook the feeling off with a little scowl and moved on, senses primed. The moment anything unexpected happened, she would be ready.

Assassination was not one of the things on Albedo's mind, no. He has no interest in your internal politics.

At least... he wasn't making any plans on killing anybody. Yet. And just as Azula moves past him, he rounds the column and creeps toward her as silently as he can muster.

As he's doing so, he sizes her up as she moves down the corridor. Looks plenty young, ripe for the picking -- easy prey, just some teenage girl. A wicked smile spreads across the URTV's features as he catches up until he's only a few paces behind her, ready to pounce... eagerly anticipating her fear at a stranger such as he prowling these halls.

Azula has been training for this all of her life. She's very aware of her surroundings. Someone's behind her - she's not sure who and she doesn't know what they want, but it can't be anything good. So she takes one more step- then whips her leg around in a vicious sweep, flames erupting in its wake as she drops into a fighting stance.

A strange man in ill-fighting guard armor and a shock of bright white hair. She's never seen him before or anyone like him. Her eyes narrow, but the smirk stays on her face. She's in control. Cool, calm, collected.

"Is that uniform really supposed to fool me?"

Heeey. I didn't play that particular game until after I'd watched Avatar.

Man, that was a bit weird, let me tell you.
