It might not have been the most ideal days to go out, but it suited Yukina well enough. A chilly breeze was a welcome development for her. She was an ice apparition, after all ( Read more... )

If I had a Kuwabara, I'd totally throw him at her. /o/ super_overlord March 13 2011, 04:54:12 UTC
From the lone tent - though the tent was large enough to comfortably seat five in - came a sneeze followed by a groan. Moments later, a head stuck itself out the flap and glared at Yukina.

"Keep it down out here! Some people are trying to sleep! This is the last time I let Flonne talk me into camping... 'It'll be fun!' 'Plenty of vicious animals around!' Bull."

Yukina stared at the person in the tent's flap. He didn't look human, and he didn't look happy.

"I apologize. I don't mean to be a bother, I'm just looking for a place to stay for a while."

It was cold up here on the mountainside, and Etna and Flonne had abandoned him to presumably return to the castle. Stranded as he was for the moment, the demon more akin to living over a lake of lava, was happy to have any kind of body heat in the tent, even if it was an ice demon's.

"Fine, you can stay here, but while you stay here, I'm in charge, got it?"

Compared to most places Kuwabara had seen around here, whenever he'd been unfortunate enough to experience the no-sense-weirdo-hotel or whatever it was, this whole woodsy set-up was pretty normal. No walking in on somebody else's very private business, no horrifically uncomfortable situations to worm his way out of... Just forest, woodland and mountains. No real tricks. And for the comfort of being secure, staying by himself for a while wasn't a huge sacrifice.

He'd woken up later than he meant to, feeling anxious. A part of his sixth sense, maybe, to know that something was on the way or... There was something to worry about somewhere. Maybe. He hadn't refined the skill enough to ever be completely sure. In this place, though, trouble was kind of a given. He didn't need to worry about it.

But then there was a voice. A particularly familiar voice...

He didn't know how to react, really, aside from not quite believing that she could be here. Or... It'd be awful if it was true, really! This place was pretty messed up ( ... )

Yukina's eyes widened a bit, too, as she saw the figure of someone she knew. She tilted her head. Her surprise, though, was soon overtaken by the warmth of happiness.

"Hello Kazuma!" She waved, the oversize sleeve of her kimono sliding down. "I didn't know you were camping."

Kuwabara could only stare dumbfounded for a second before her suddenly-cheery expression (was she happy to see him~?) got to him. He let out a breath he hadn't known he was holding and laughed in something like relief.

"Well, you know! I was just... Yeah. Camping. I guess."

He could help but grin, at this point, even given the fact that he knew circumstances were fishy around here. Though when he tried to think of what casual, conversational question to pose... He couldn't help but be reminded.

"How long have you been here?" And whether he meant the hotel or just... Right over there, he had to figure that was just open to interpretation.

A voice from above called out in return, vaguely amused. "Hi," it said. Though the camp was his, he'd jumped up into a tree on sensing another demon's approach. Currently he was hanging from his knees from a branch above her.

"You lost, doll?" Kuronue asked, raising an eyebrow.

(...I also have a Karasu if you're interested. >:3)

She frowned when she couldn't locate the source of the voice. Where was it coming from. Then, she looked up, and spotted the other demon.

Startled, she stumbled back a little.

"N-No, I was just looking for a place to rest."

(OMG that would be so evil...but awesome. Yeeees. :3c)

Kuronue tilted his head at her like a curious dog. Reaching up for the branch he wad dangling from with one hand he unhooked his legs and dropped down to the ground, his wings easing the drop down.

Wow, she was tiny. He towered over her.

Kuronue gestured to his camp, grinning crookedly. "Join me then? I've been waiting for someone to return, but he'll be a few days yet. I think I'm going a little insane without company."

A pretty little koorime? How lucky for him.

Returning to the clearing himself, Karasu stood just outside the line of the clearing, partially hidden by shrubbery and the shade of the trees. He leaned against a tree bordering the clearing casually and tilted his head. Sable hair spilled down over his shoulder and for a moment it looked like he could have been smiling.

"You're a bit far from home, aren't you?"

It wasn't much of a campsite--a simple sleeping mat and a dying fire. There was a small basket near the mat, and though it was obviously not much, everything seemed neat and orderly as opposed to being strewn about. For a moment there's no answer to Yukina's calls, but eventually a short, young looking man steps out of the woods. He came partially due to the calling out he heard, but also because he could feel something coming from her.

So curious, he showed himself, a sword sheathed on his back and a serious expression on his face. Despite this, he gives off the feeling that he will not harm her.

"Are you lost?"
