But nevermind. He had done the best he could, and replaced the scarf around his neck, covering his HERETIC birthmark. Turning on his heels he was just about ready to leave when--
"Oh come on," he said is irritated dismay, looking first to the shut door, and then to the stranger. "Don't tell me you were stupid enough to let the door close on you!"

"Obviously I was," he replied evenly, choosing to ignore the comment on his intelligence just then. It had been kind of stupid, especially after so much time in this damn place.

The answer was fairly obvious; loathing as he was to admit it. Retica new how the hotel worked, after all. That didn't mean he was any more eager to appease the place's sick magic just because some idiot was stupid enough to let the door shut.
"Well? It's your fault the door closed, so you better hurry up and figure us a way out."
