That vodka really had been a bad idea. Especially as the pretty, curly haired woman you'd been talking to all night had slipped a sleeping drug into yours.

A good hard slap around the face should wake you up though. "Time to wake up now." The young woman's accent had changed entirely, now thickly Russian instead of the mildly put on sounding ( Read more... )

"Incorrect. I do not bluff, ewer, when the truth is that more frightening." Pasha replied, staring straight back at him without hardly a thought. "And I would lose a single information source. There are plenty more willing to giwe him up with a loose tongue and a dram of whiskey in them." She set her hypospray down though, looking at him curiously.

"That, and I hawe enough antidote to keep you aliwe naturally." She commented, ever sharp. "But you'd be in immense, crippling pain for the rest of your years."

"Say the rumours." The woman agreed. "Certainly, they say that. But people who know him, know better." She stepped away from her table, laden down with various instruments- half of them she didn't like to use, far too barbaric for her, but they certainly looked intimating -a simple flick knife in her hand.

"Tell me. I know that you know." She was impatient for the information, with the agency breathing down her neck to find him. "I would greatly prefer not to have to let blood." Pasha announced. "I have no taste for needless violence."

"Come now. We're both smart women here. Do not mess me about, I want that information, one way or the other I shall get it." The woman's voice was cold, she hadn't the time for time wasters nor the inclination to deal with them. "You know something." They always knew more then they thought they did. That was just the way that these things worked. "It's for your own good that you will tell me, miss." She said, folding her arms over her chest, eyes never moving from the other woman.

"I want to know where his last known location was." The spy answered, watching her carefully, trying to spot any signs of deceit. Either she was telling the truth or she was a very incredibly good liar. Given the people that surrounded her, Pasha assumed she was just a very good liar. "That, his associates, his deals, anything and everything." She tapped her hypospray against her leg as she waited.

The oft unseen Doctor Mizuno had that reputation because it was very rare for her to ever leave her laboratory. The secrets she carried would be very valuable to anyone on the black market, not to mention a number of rival governments who no doubt had her image marked in every secret agency handbook. That was why she had been assigned a number of plain clothed guards in the club that night, but with the music and the lack of a record turning up on on the curly haired woman no one had given it much thought when the good doctor struck up a conversation ( ... )

That was it, she was beginning to come around now. It was a lucky thing that Pasha was so strong otherwise carrying the other woman out would have been difficult. Thankfully, there were that many drunk girls teetering out, very drunk together on an evening that one of the doormen laughed and called a cab for them. Like taking candy from a blindfolded child with no motor skills.

"Oh. Shame." Pasha replied. "Usually that is a good starter question." Her smile was nothing short of sugary sweet. "Name? I need to check there weren't any side effects to the drug I gawe to you." She demanded, picking up a small torch so she could check the dilation of the woman's pupils. "I already know your real name, so don't bother giwing a fake one to me, so it shall only be more troublesome in the long run for myself."

It didn't hurt that the good doctor was light and small, which probably helped keep anyone from noticing right away that she'd been abducted. By now the agency would have known but she had no idea where she was let alone how to contact anyone. She couldn't move, but she tried anyway. Ropes, cuffs, it was almost overkill for someone of her demure stature but she would give her captor credit for being thorough.

"No, you have to let me go," she said groggily, tugging again at her restraints. Now she was beginning to get worried, that fear masked but visible in her eyes. Ami naturally squinted and looked away when the light was shone upon her face. "Dr. Ami Mizuno. Who are you, really?"
