No prob, as a 14 year old with no personal income and too much free time, sewing becomes fun xP (playing Tennis with high school dudes(aka bishies) who for some reason think you are adorable and are their lil sis still wins tho xP) <33 Small valley towns xDDD

Oh~~ Wht orgy mem do you want to cosplay as? Or r u just gonna do the whole Coat thing xDD (I bet all the cosplaying Sora's will be either 'RIKU?!!?' or 'who could that be o.O?') >P

eeeeeeeeeeek what materials did you buy?! I need to get started on that, too ;~; we could be n00b-cosplay-outfit-making buddehs, since the only thing I've ever sewed was curtains D:

We can do it! ♥

I've had some experience sewing with a machine, but I still get my friend K-chan to help me out because she's so GOOD at modifying patterns. XD; No matter what you use, you'll have to modify it - but we've been using Simplicity 5386 and it's worked out pretty good so far. It seems to be the pattern most cosplayers use to make the coat.

So yeah, I think you could do it with a little help. Go out and buy some cheap fabric, make a mock-up, and then use that to make the final coat. Good luck. :)

Oh, by the way: this may help you out. And if you're stuck looking for materials, this thread is really useful.

Probably a 7 or 8.

Not so much because of detail but because you won't be able to find a direct pattern meaning you'll either have to modify something or make your own.

Also? It's really hard to find wearable pleather. Please don't use upholstery vinyl... it's just a really, really bad idea. Couches do not clothing make.
