Mind the signs 3

Mar 17, 2013 19:56

My characters decided it was time for another one of these. I think this is just a series of Prowl and Jazz drabbles where I just and utterly completely fail at shipping.

Peer Pressure - In which Jazz plans a seduction...and it goes about as well as he expected, really...

In which my headspace!character play around with common smut-fic tropes...and fail epically )

transformers fanfiction, character: prowl, series: mind the signs, character: jazz

Glad you liked it. It's something that I can never take seriously whenever it comes up in fic

Hahah... Personally, I love ProwlxJazz, but I do understand that not everyone gets it. Or likes it. Or whatever. And I can totally see this happening. :D Very cute. ^.^

Oh, I'm quite happy to ship it. I just can't write it. I either troll the pairing or I write a very loooong AU where my original intentions to have them together got overturned when I realized I enjoy them apart more.

Hahahah... See, I really like happy endings where everyone is with who they're supposed to be with, so I don't usually have that problem. :D

This is great!
Not that I don't mind the occasional ProwlXJazz, but it can get overdone.
Hey, they don't want you to write about them? That's okay. I like this regardless.

Yep. I agree.
From a security perspective (and a tactical view) alone, it does not make sense for the 2nd In Command and the 3rd In Command to be madly in love with each other.
And, considering other fics claim no Special Operations bots have links/bonds/family outside Spec Ops, why would the Head Honcho go for someone else who's got a target painted on his back?

But, them deciding to allow the truth to come out ('No, that's not how I flirt' and 'No, I've never flirted with him' for one/other or both), with this gastly and gaudy role-play, yeah.
it works.

Thanks.
(Snickers) blindfolds never made sense for robots anyway - optical view is rather redundant at best.

Heh, I do enjoy PJ, but I've found I've reached the stage where my interests in them are more focused on action. Them doing things that have purpose, plot. The romance and fluff is so overdone that it bores me now. When working on my AU, I discovered that I in fact prefer to keep them separate from each other. They are very different distinct individuals but in most fics they tend to get merged together in this happy perfect, ridiculously interdependent couple persona that I find bland.

It's not even restricted to cybetronians role playing. I've read fics, serious fics, where the robots get captured and blindfolded and then lead somewhere. Or they complain about being unable to see in the dark. There's no reason for their optics to be limited to the visible light spectrum like humans are, when we can build cameras that can record UV or infrared. I tend to pick up on these little details and find myself questioning them.

Mind you, I do spend ridiculous amounts of time thinking about cybertronian 'biology.'

Hey, its nice to be reminded from time to time that ROBOTS are not HUMAN!
And that there are going to be differences.
Otherwise, its too easy to insert people into these situations and make-believe.

Plus, by focusing on 'Cybertronian biology', it makes for a cleaner fic and better story - IMHO.

And, I like plot and story. Even if all it is, is a series of misunderstandings that happen to be funny.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! XD Love especially the puzzlement over the blindfold idea. XDDDDD Prowl has a confuse. <3

Blindfolded robots will never make much sense to me, I'm afraid. Both Prowl and I have a confuse...

I don't think it makes sense to a lot of people. I know of a one-shot series where the author covered that detail from DotM. With all their sensors, why would covering or shooting out an optic keep them from seeing? I liked your piece very much.
