Today i took advantage of working flexitime, and got out early to play tennis. For those of you who care, i snatched a draw from the brink of defeat, with our running out of time with the score standing at 6-7, 7-6. I'm quite jealous. I want to play tennis. I love the noise of the ball on the racket. No idea how to play it and no one to play it with though.

It does make a rather nice sound when you hit it cleanly.
I think tennis is a relatively difficult sport to take up in some ways, since it's really not that much fun unless you're playing someone of a vaguely similar standard, and even then a game between 2 beginners doesn't usually involve many rallies.
Most tennis clubs will have beginners nights though where you can get some coaching and some other people to learn to play with. If you ever fancy coming along to the albery Club in West Didsbury, i'll gladly introduce you to everyone.
