Today has been an odd day. As my previous post explained, I got an odd phone call from the solicitors on my way to work, and on my way home afterwards I managed to get carded when buying a bottle of wine

So did you have ID? I don't own photo ID of any kind, passport's expired and an old style driving licence...!

An expired passport still has your date of birth on it though...

This is true, but would the kind of jobsworth challenging thirty somethings in the first place actually accept it, given its technically "invalid"?

I heard something on the radio a couple of months back about a pensioner being refused a bottle of wine for not having ID. Madness
