i have heard (since i haven't been able to read) that they had to cut rorschachs psychological history from the film. this seems very bad to me. without his history he is a plain violent asshole, no? doesn't it matter what leads him to where he is? it kind of seems like the point of his character will be lost on anyone who hasn't read the book

i never even heard of Watchmen till this movie was being made. i didn't even know it was nearly 3 hours long till i got there.

that said.

they fill Rorschach in just enuf to let me know why and howcome. and i don't' recall a newsstand, but it could have been the whole opening scene stuff. that would make sense... i thought the music was bloody brilliant.

go see it! i think i'm gonna go again while its still on IMAX. but no urchins. i had to cover my eyes! 3 times!!!

i really enjoyed it. the music was superb. i felt like i could see some of the psychological damage to rorschach.
