I'm petitioning your collective evilness for suggestions for Duo's and Dexter's assignments. Ideas for bigger plots are welcome, too.

Dexter

Acquire hair or skin samples from Jon and Jack O'Neill

Acquire hair or skin samples from Darien

Assemble a catalog of genetic material of Gamma's leaders

Duo

Sneak on to Cassandra/Chloe/Faith/Xander's

Both O'Neills and Carson have it. Other than that I don't know. More on the gene here.

I thought maybe Duo could sneak into someone's personal quarters to do some information gathering. Sam Carter, maybe. Who knows.

So also, I need to know what this 'ship' is.

It is a lifeboat, a small boat from a much larger ancient starship.
* It does not require the Ancient gene to operate, unlike most Ancient vessels--it's a lifeboat.
* It is unarmed.
* It has a cloak and navigation shields (it can move at 40 percent of lightspeed, so it needs them for protection from space dust and radiation), but nothing like the kind of shields warships would have.
* It is experimental, or at least of later vintage than most Ancient vessels so far discovered. Or maybe it's different because it came from a different universe. Who know?

I'm not quite sure how Dexter would be able to get hair/skin samples, but I think some creative wrangling of cups/utensils/etc in the mess hall or something like that would be very much within his reach and still yield the same information.
