Lovely pics! I love the Bohemian churchs in central/eastern Europe.

Sofia is indeed full of concrete and pretty much very run down. However, the very centre is absolutely stunning and very clean... but then I've found that with many former Warsaw Pact city centres.

I was hoping to go to Romania in September but if I do go it would only be to Bucharest.

We drove through Bucharest, it was really lovely to look at but absolutely chockablock from end to end and full of gypsies with designs on your stuff.
When you go there, you will find that nothing is certain apart from death and tyres, and their word for pharmacy is farmacie.
