A very interesting piece, Katt :D A reflective moment, late at night. What is it about the middle of the night when you are awake alone that gets you thinking so hard? I have that problem a lot. The darkness, the lack of distraction, and a mind that won't shut up. Kitt has so much to think about, past, future, pleasant memories, and regrets. I can certainly see him pondering them just like this.

Nice imagery, and you illustrated the scenes very well.

Keep going :D I want more.

My favorite part was how Kitt acknowledged Alex's importance to Karr. Maybe because I'm just partial to the poor neglected geologist, but it really made me smile. Couldn't have put Karr's feelings any better myself. :)
