In between classes and studying and...well...healing from Yuffie's classes, there wasn't a whole lot to do on the island. Besides hanging out with Morgan, that was. It was a little weird-- back home, all he'd wanted was to be normal, and maybe find something else to do with his life. Something that wasn't the Buy More. Something that wasn't fixing ( Read more... )

There were plenty of places on the island to find Chuck, but intuition led Sarah right to the third floor rec room. Wandering over, smiling when she spotted him, she sat down on the couch and tucked her legs up toward her.

"Am I interrupting anything?" she asked, gaze darting from the Chuck to the screen and back again. Compared to the real deal, it didn't strike her as all that exciting a game, but it still pleased her to see him having fun.

Call of Duty was pretty exciting, as far as Chuck was concerned. Besides, he really liked his gunfire confined to video games and not...well, anywhere where it could hit him, graze him or anything him.

Chuck paused the game when Sarah sat down and grinned. It was probably a good thing-- he was kind of pinned down under heavy fire at the moment anyway. He was really better at being sniper.

"No-- no, not really. I mean, I've beaten this level like five hundred times already. There's only so many games around; kinda sucks sometimes."

"Wow," Chuck said, "That's not even remotely original. I mean, the bookshelf could have at least sprung for 'Get Smart' or 'Inspector Gadget' or something."

He mostly ended up with a lot of video game magazines and computer books from the shelf.

"But yeah-- I mean, sure...I don't mind company. I thought Morgan would be hanging out here or something, but I haven't seen him all day."
