TREINTA Y OCHO

1. Cassandra Clare is Cassandra Clare! I had no idea when I picked up The Mortal Instruments books that the author wrote Harry Potter fan fiction way back when. I read them. How weirdly awesome cool is that? I used to be obsessed with her Draco Malfoy. Gosh. How loser am I for just figuring this out?

2. Does anyone watch Real Chance at Love? ( Read more... )

My sister was very involved in HP fandom and she's friends with CC - I really pried for more details a few weeks ago - apparently there was some kind of plagiarism scandal with her? I dunno, but good for her for getting OG work published.

A scandal? How intriguing. Now I have to go Google her up to see what all the buzz was.

The fact that she wrote HP fanfic was the whole reason I picked up TMI in the first place. I was (still am, really) a huge fan of her fanfiction!

If I'd have know she wrote both, I would have picked up TMI books sooner.

And you ship Jace/Clary, don't you?

I do! It's really the only pairing that I'm passionate about. I love the other characters, but those two are special!

Haha, I overheard a conversation about CC the other day and butted in just to say that she got her start with fanfiction. Fairly obnoxious, I know.

Yay for number three =) On a bit of a dry spell myself.

And of course props for making a list. Because lists are basically on my top ten Things That I Love.

Not obnoxious. Informed. And, it is your duty as a knowledgeable person to share your wealth of information with everyone. Everyone.

Yeah, I have no idea where my list love came from. It sort of popped out of nowhere. I have these really detailed grocery lists that I’ve written. They’re color coded and include subcategories! Seriously, no idea how I got from randomly grabbing things off the shelves to making out elaborate plans of attack on the produce aisle.

I have yet to read Mortal Instruments. On a general basis, I'm not normally into Sci-Fi/Fantasy.

But, she wrote Draco Malfoy! Share please!

on another note - three sounds very nice indeed.

Three was very nice.

And you have to download her Draco series because she took it down when she got published. The links to all three parts can be found here: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20080820070335AAVGgol

And it includes Harry/Hermione, Draco/Hermione, Draco/Ginny, and a bit of Harry/Draco that never really goes there completely. So, you know, enjoy.

Oh, and as soon as I birth my first child I'll make sure to send it your way.
