It has come to our attention that this Czech website dedicated to The Host has been blatantly stealing graphics from our LJ community and from the members of this community. Chapter banners, movie posters, icons, wallpapers, and more. All of the graphics are also being hotlinked.My co-mods and I want to contact the webmistress of this site, but ( Read more... )

On her website, there's a link to her twitter, so you could PM her and talk to her there? Or ask for her email so you can talk about it in more than 140 characters, like civilized people :)

I hope this whole thing gets worked out!

>:-/ Aaggggrrrrggg, this makes me SO FRUSTRATED! I can't believe she would go and post all of this by hotlinking. She even posted my whole freakin' batch of icons that included other fandoms. I don't know why, but this frustrates me more than anything...

I posted this on her site.. and then one again in Czech so she gets that I'm pissed off.. lol

Hey I don't know if you are aware, but you have to ask permission to post my art, also you have to credit and link back. That goes for all the art you have posted here. You must ask permission first and you are not allowed to edit them. The background image you used for this site is a poster of mine that you have altered.

I noticed that one of your posters was her layout! That's just messed up.
I don't really even understand why she's hotlinking all of our art when obviously no one is really active or commenting at her site. -_-

I know it is messed up hey, but still this has happened quite alot to me and everyone else that makes art and it just sucks cause we have to put tags on everything now and it kinda ruins the art.

I know, I really hate tags. -_- It destroys the concept of the fanart to me. Oh, well. I guess you can't do much else. :(

I know! on this entry (http://melaniestryderova.blog.cz/1003/beautifull-wallapers-or-banners-fan-made) the script above the pictures says:

"Ignore the inscription tak.Jen Chapter 13 and have a look at the wallp, beautiful right?"

That is not very nice. :( I mean, I want to spread the Host love around, but she seems like she should know the etiquette rules of the internet, since she built her own fansite and all.

If she's hotlinking, make a graphic saying so and upload it, replacing the original image. She'll get the hint.

Thank you for the suggestion! I'm currently doing so with some of the images I've posted that she has taken.
