Seriously, it's good to see the Sabres have abandoned the old "we'll talk contract when we're good and ready" mentality. It cost us BIG last off season.
I'm a little surprised they did this. He really did not have a great season last year and gets rewarded with a 5-year deal? It was frustrating how many mediocre games he had down the stretch when you needed the points to make the playoffs.
Of course after Price did what he did in the 2nd round against Philly, maybe I shouldn't talk.
You guys should make a play for Huet... he wouldn't be too expensive, and he and Miller could either share the starting job or battle for it. Either way I think it would be helpful.

One of the big reasons I'm pleased with this is that the Sabres have NO ONE in their farm system even CLOSE to being ready for NHL action.
