How one can equate the mere fact she is still alive with some desire to live is nuts. Sometimes you die, sometimes you don't. For the sake of everyone involved, I hope it is true that she can't feel pain. Karma would be a bitch on them if it is otherwise.

I don't think the case really involves compassion, though. Compassion would have been bringing in Kevorkian cocktails a week ago, but, oh, that is evil and wrong. *snicker*
