A little over twenty one years ago I joined my first band. We rehearsed in the bassist's garage, and wrote a few songs that showed all the signs of having been written by a band of teenagers who rehearsed in a garage, and which mostly deserved to be decently forgotten after we broke up. Loved this - It will certainly be one of those memorable nights. I think everyone enjoyed it as it seams did you. The fun of the event shines through in your writing. But I do take umbrage to the suggestion that my song writing has not been anything but moving and thought provoking - “she was a lady brought up wrong - made her living in the sack” - Classic (Sean)

I feel pretty much the same about my own occasional lyrical contributions too. Apart from No Good Loser - I'm still remarkably happy with that one. But that was after your time...

Hiya Oggie, Dena here. It's a such a shame I couldn't make it to Sean's 40th - Bev did invite me but getting off this rock is a nightmare. It sounds like you has a great night.

BTW, if you're interested, It Bites are playing Islington again on 26 September. If you're there I'll buy you a pint! :-)
