Played another gig with the ceilidh band last night. I think about half the band didn't know the other half; we had a recorder player I'd not met before, the bassist was a dep who none of them had ever played with, and the caller was new to them as well. Made for an interesting mix. The bassist had it worst; he'd get told the key we were starting

For what it is worth, I don't think the snake is that strange a present for a child. I once gave a plush facehugger to newborn (I did know the parents were big Alien fans, and they'd keep it away from the sprog until it was old enough to care for it and not choke on it).
