I no longer remember why I read Anna Karenina straight through and apparently liked it enough to buy it. It sits on a shelf at home but it's been years and I scarcely remember what happens but there's something weirdly jarring imagining that cast.......

Snow Piercer sounds absolutely FASCINATING. So does the Grandmothers, actually.

The synopses for Snow Piercer sound purposefully vague. How long ago was the apocalyptic Ice Age? The use of the phrase "sacred perpetual-motion machine" makes me wonder if it hasn't been decades, and mechanical devices have attained an unknowability reaching the mystical. Is there going to be a surprise!steampunk??

I could make it easier for myself by Googling the French comic. In fact, I might just do that now...
