So, Diana, just tell me this about Jane Eyre: did you like it? Was it beautiful? Did it do the book justice? Did they vilify Bertha Antoinetta?

*lol* I like how I'm totally assuming you're as obsessed with the book as I am. :p

Bertha...was kind of a non-presence. I mean, she was there, but only for about a 2 minute scenes, and the part where Jane felt her in her room and the ruined wedding dress wasn't in the film at all. Grace Poole wasn't even seen, I don't think. The film was very much concentrated on Jane, and then Edward and St John. Everyone else is pretty much short-changed.

I loved the movie, mainly for Mia Wasikowska's performance, which I thought was brilliant and fearless and true what I remember of the book (which I haven't read in about 10 years).
