Alias was my first fandom on LJ, and Sark is still my favourite thing from that fandom, the character I could most empathise with, because he was unapologetic and never once judged other people.

My favourite thing about Sark, though, is that he could go either way.

An excellent point. Also: Mmmm. Sark.

I want a future (30 years hence) where Sark is this legitimate spy who is mentoring CIA newbies, and telling them stories about how he used to be so YOUNG and STUPID. :)

Yesss, to all of this. You make me want to go back and read every fic I ever loved.

I started to do that last night, and came across so many dead links. :( I hope your Sark fic is still archived somewhere.

The day I could no longer find the Sarkgasm round robin, I...was embarrassingly near tears. I love that sweet old fandom. Pretty sure all my stuff (and probably a bunch of other peoples' old Sark fic) is still up on ff.net.

I love that 5 wasn't enough, and I love your vision of this character.

I've been writing this character for so long, it's easy to miss the obvious. :)

I think it was vaznetti who once said that Sark, at the end of series 5, is still growing up - only just emerging out of the shadow of his childhood trauma (like Sydney), the shadow of Irina's power over him. He still has so much in front of him, so many possibilities.
