Brilliant idea...

Cast JGL as the Joker in Batman 3. And not just because he's a gifted actor. He is also the splitting image of Heath Ledger. AND he has a history with Chris Nolan, who we all know likes working with the same actors (again, and again, and again).

If that's not fate, I don't know what is.

Hmm. I do really appreciate his work. Still, I'd rather him play a roel that could be his own.

I suspect that the Joker will have a cameo in the next film - just like the Scarecrow did in the second movie. His story remains unfinished. And if so, then I can't think of anyone who is better suited.

Exactly what I was going to say. People bang on enough about the Heath Ledger resemblance and christ, it pisses me off cos Ledger played angst whereas JGL plays heart. And I really think it would be a sort of death knell for JGL's career if he gave into that Heath Ledger comparison.

He doesn't need Ledger.

I was doing some facial study for Inception the other day and I couldn't get this thought out of my head. At least I'm not the only one.

I think the differences in build, and of course in colouring, helps to disguise it.

While I have no doubt that JGL would indeed do a good job with the Joker, I'd rather see him play somebody else in the Batverse, a character he can put his own stamp on instead of following another actor's footsteps. Not that I'm somebody who believes that omg nobody else can ever play the Joker again, but I don't want to see, for the time being, an actor trying to play Heath playing the Joker. And I feel like TDK did a really good job already in telling what is the essential Joker story. Again, not saying there can be no Joker ever again, but I wanna see something else now.

What I really wanna see is the fallout from Harvey Dent. If they gloss over that, I'd be really upset.
