thank you so much for the review - I have noticed this film and was wondering if it is good or not.

I would definitely recommend it. It's full of wonderful moments and great, subtle performances.

Ah, thanks! I'm definitely going to hunt this down then. It's never a safe option relying on Australia distribution :)

Movie was very nice, a wonderful addition to the "a day in the life of two people" genre. And it certainly did nothing to lessen my crush on Clarkson ( ... )

I hope that it will get an Australian release later this year, so I can see it in the cinemas.

My impression of Anaya's character, at the party, was that she was supposed to arouse in Juliette at least a suspicion that Mark was having an affair with this younger woman. The way that she knew about Mark's situation in Gaza, and how she spoke about a "boyfriend" who is never seen, seemed to hint at that. I also liked the parallels, that this other woman (if that is what she is) should be so kind and decent to Juliette, like Tareq is kind and decent.

>It also made me wonder how the area of the pyramids in reality looks like
It's hard to convey on tv or films just how flat the area around the Pyramids are.

I loved his character in Syriana! And he was one of the best things about Kingdom of Heaven too.

What a lovely review for a wonderful movie. I enjoyed this movie so much ... for all the reasons you so eloquently stated and for Siddig and Clarkson.

Thank you.

You're very welcome! I was so excited when I first heard that they were going to be in a romantic drama together (and a little anxious that it would turn out like Sally Potter's Yes, which has a similar premise). Watching it, finally, was a delight.
