I'm pretty much always in the minority opinion-wise when it comes to departures from book 'canon' but I'll be glad to see Eric's character have something to do other than follow Sookie around. His best parts last season had very little to do with her

I'm wondering if this might be how the fairies get introduced into the story. There aren't that many options for who to hold a 1000 year old grudge against: another vampire? Niall? I mean, I don't see Eric marking out a human/werewolf descendant of any old enemy to be worth his attentions.

I also want to know: who is he trying to avenge? Could it be his mortal family?

When I read that I was wondering if they're making Russell older, and give these two a connection that way (they did make Sophie Anne younger after all, I don't see why it shouldn't work the other way round). Fairies would of course make a lot of sense, except I don't think we're supposed to get them in the flesh yet.

Re: Dream House. Didn't we have this movie before? It was called The Messengers.

Haven't seen that one. But I wonder what the interest in a horror/thriller there is for Sheridan.

I first read: “homicidal detective”. I don't see how that's something you could keep very secret for long.

Good question. I kind of assumed that he was retired (some summaries say "ex-detective") and working with his former department informally or as a consultant.

Either way, sounds like an interesting show. Are the other personalities aware of each other (as he's obviously aware of them)?

Aw, I just re-watched Blade III, yesterday. Shirtless Reynolds. <3

They are. I think they get together and fight crime.

I'm looking forward to Promised Land, and hope Sturgess' character isn't painted as a Pure Evil Baddie. people like his character didn't have an easy job keeping the peace.

hm...if Eric and Dexter ever team up, I don't think anything could stop them.

I wish Mr. Momoa all good fortune in Conan.
(though I suspect some critics will say "oh look, he's being typecast - isn't this the second Noble Savage he's portrayed?" Some people are just never happy)

Winterbottom's films don't usually have clear-cut baddies, but if there's anything like that here, I think it would be the Zionist militants/extremists.

"oh look, he's being typecast - isn't this the second Noble Savage he's portrayed?"

I have to say, that was my first reaction.

extremists would be best for that, I agree.

>I have to say, that was my first reaction.
my second reaction, though, was "not just one of the heros this time, he's the title hero."

Mine was: "Well, at least they knocked off the 'Barbarian' bit from the title."
