Momoa has been cast as the horse lord Khal Drogo

DUDE. I...actually have no idea how to respond to that. But. DUDE!

Also, yay for him!

*does a little dance*

He was the last lead to be cast, so THANK GOD they found him!

I'm so ridiculously happy that they're going to make more "sword and sandal" movies. Perhaps one will be even as good as Gladiator, the forerunner of the 21st century's series of them...

While Game of Thrones doesn't interest me as a reading material, that cast looks fantastic! Furthermore, it shall have an actual story!

There is only one Ridley Scott!! :) That said, I'm sure that the Neil Marshall movie will be exciting and action-packed, if nothing else.

My own reservation re. The Eagle of the Ninth is Channing Tatum...who has the misfortune of appearing to be all brawn, no brains. I just read the script, today, and I'm unsure of whether he'll be able to carry off some of the moments of critical self-reflection that the lead character has. He runs the risk of having the same experience as Hayden Christensen in Jumper - being the dunderheaded "pretty boy" that Jamie Bell acts rings around.
