Oh wow, Lena Headey. Can't really imagine her as NCW's twin, in terms of, you know, appearance, but they're both FIERCE. Which is what matters. This show is gonna be EPIC.

I think it would have been great if they'd gone with Connie Nielsen (she can NCW can bond over their Danishness!), but Headey is indeed fierce, and has a history of playing characters who don't fit neatly into overtly "feminine" roles. I also thought there should be something a tad androgynous about both Jaime and Cersei, and both these actors I think have the ability to bring that to their characters.

The ASOIAF casting is just getting better and better. I think what Headey might lack in physical resemblance to Cersei, she will more than make up for in bad ass personality. Yay.

I've been reading that, because this is HBO, a pilot means that a series order is pretty much assured. I really hope that's true, because this cast deserves multiple seasons to work their magic.

I truly hope so. With a cast this good it would be a tragedy not to.

I've also read that the interest in the pilot is much higher than usual, which I hope can only be a good thing.

I can't wait to see what happens with Peggy. It feels like it's all coming together for her, but narrative-wise, it's like they're setting her up for a fall.
