The benefits of being immortal.

When I watch Bill Compton on True Blood, I'm reminded of my mother, who is forever telling me to not let every emotion and thought show up so plainly on my face ("like a Westerner"). "You'll get lines!" she complains.

Not that Bill will ever have that problem.

I already loved you, and now I love your mother. Hee!

I understand Bill's supposed to have these misunderstandings and boundary issues with Sookie, but it's like every time she speaks her mind or does something he doesn't like, he's completely flabbergasted. She's going to keep being herself, Bill. That's why you liked her.

Every time he makes his PAINED Look of Horror/Surprise/Guilt/Indescribable-yet-Terrible emotion, I'm thinking, Careful there old sport, you're wearing out those eyebrows! He does nothing by half measures, does Bill. On anyone else, I'd say it was overacting, but I think Bill is just dramatic like that.
