I'm back from Xiamen, arriving back in Shanghai at 10:49 pm last night (after a 23 hour train trip in a carriage full of students in 3-level bunk-bed compartments of which I shall not speak of again), utterly exhausted and dying for a shower. This morning I had a early morning classes, so I'm still not recovered, having slept for only about 3 hours

I'd like to marry the entire Writers' Room, frankly. It was FABULOUS. The lovely sense of a circle closing, but also the intact forward motion of the stay-behinds. And Danny Dyson and Savannah Weaver, both targeted? Missing?

The gorgeousness of La Chola, who knows the score, oh yes she does. She was an enormously compelling character to me and her return made me love Friedman with a great love. And she's out there in that timeline just waiting for... something.

Oh, show.

CHOLA (and I can't remember if she is ever called this anywhere in the show, but I've always thought of her by that, probably because I caught the nickname from you). I loved her so much in this episode. How she takes that SCC-esque rhythm of the dialogue (constant repetition, and something else, that unnameable quality that nevertheless seems to echo through John, Sarah, and Cameron, something I've tried to imitate in my SCC writing) and just totally nails it. She has such a beautiful voice too, I'm glad we got to hear it, although it was such a surprise at first when we do. I hope she and Cameron get to share the screen again...
