Even on television, you cannot escape the ethnic wail!

Honestly though, the Zimmeresque score by Trevor Morris (Moonlight, The Tudors) was one of the great strengths of NBC's Kings, juxtaposing with the contemporary-looking setting to create a plausible alternate reality that is out-of-our-time. Oh, how embarassing. Now I have to admit that I absolutely, unreservedly love the ethnic wail and am obviously the target of this silly fad. I am so generic public when it comes to television and film, sometimes.

At times I don't mind it. It's certainly used to good effect on both Battlestar Galactica and Kings.
