I was kind of looking forward to Thomas Sangster in Tintin, but Jamie Bell is a great replacement IMHO. I think he's very underrated (and was by far the best thing in Jumper). I'm still not too sure about motion capture (it creeps me out), but it could be interesting.

Motion-capture (at least the way the technology/artistry stands right now) creeps me out too. Give me claymation!

I haven't read The Graveyard Book yet, although I definitely intend to.

Was just looking at a recent photo of Gaiman at a signing and he looked so much like Dream - pale, spikey black hair - I had to laugh.

I love The Secret of the Unicorn, that and Red Rackham's Treasure are my two favourite Tintin books. Good ones to turn into movies, too :)

I remember snow from my childhood in Shanghai - dirty, slurry-snow that melted as soon as you picked it up. Getting hit with the real deal during the freak snowstorms in China last year dispelled the magic of it. :)

I lived in Canberra for a while and it always made me restless -- and then I figured out after a while that it was because it wasn't near the ocean.

*nod* I think I'd be the same.
