*drool* Where is a spare $600 when you need it! I've been obsessing about what bag to take with me on my holidays this year (Shanghai, London, Paris), and what clothes I should take. You Brits and Parisians, could you help me out, give me an idea of what kind of weather to expect in early December?

Thanks! Should I consider buying a mackintosh? (In Sydney, only tourists ever wear raincoats. We have the kind of rain that you can normally "wait out".)

YES I KNOW.

Those two have some pretty gutsy biopics between them: Virginia Woolf, Diane Arbus, Aileen Wuornos, Josey Aimes.

EWAN, SHAME ON YOU!!

But oh god yessssssssssssss to the Dorian Gray poster ... *moan* Although admittedly I'm a little perplexed by the casting of Colin Firth as Lord Henry ... guess we'll just have to see.

He looks delectably vampiric. I can't wait to see Easy Virtue, and find out whether he can act as well as look pretty.

Yeah, not feeling Firth either. Ben Chaplin, on the other hand...

Gorgeous bag! Weather in England is unlikely to change between now and December. It's dampish, not as cold as it will be in Jan/Feb, likely to be muggy in London and other cities. Hope this helps.

That's very helpful, thanks!

And isn't it? I love how rugged and utilitarian and stylish it is.

Oh my gosh - have I not been concentrating?? When are you coming to London??? I concur with your other friends - wet, cold, umbrella, coat, boots.

I am so not a cold weather gal. I think I'm just going to find a nice bookshop or cafe and stay in it all through the trip with my notebook. :)
