kismeteve and I have been bemoaning this fact for AGES. Our dream casting.

I am a fan of Sayers, more so than I am of Christie. Although as crime fiction goes, I don't read much from the Golden Age.

Irene Adler as VILLAIN. Yes, I was shocked. (The Woman was never evil. Just cleverer...and opportunistic.) But I can't wait to see Rachel play a character so adult and, for lack of a better word, poised.

There were a couple of years when Ryan was getting his awards buzz for Half Nelson and Rachel seemed to have kind of disappeared. Now they're back together, and she has something like 4 big films coming out in the next year or so!

I'm busy too with assignments and applying to grad school, so.

I was trying to say my internet was wonky and thus I thank you for just being awesome with your our community. Haha. :)

Our cable internet would act up regularly for ages - randomly disconnect, for no reason, and the technicians would always blame it on our router or our wireless. Finally, a few months ago, a senior technician came, took pity on me, and worked out that it was this piece of connecting equipment in the box on the telephone pole that was faulty. He replaced the thing, and now our connection is great. :)

I wonder if they're going to work in the opera singer aspect of Irene in this movie. Hee, I'm a sucker for contraltos.

I hope so. Or they might make her into an American actress. Pretty similar principle, but more "hip", and if the whole issue of her affair with Royalty isn't in the story, it would make sense to make her a bit disreputable (as actresses were, as a matter of course).
