Ha! I thought I recognised Dev Patel from the still I saw on a Bollywood blog! Definitely keeping an eye out for that on our screens.

Well, I would say that certainly bodes well for a S2, wouldn't you? I guess things can change on a dime, but at least they're looking ahead!

I know the numbers for the pilot weren't at all promising, but HBO seems to be sinking a lot of effort and backing into the project. Maybe I'm hopelessly optimistic, but I'm being generally confident that they know what they've got on their hands. Mostly though, I just hope that people will TUNE IN.

It's tough, since it's a pay channel -- lots of fans (our target pimping audience!) just don't have the money for monthly service.

My fantasy scenario has Eric arriving and bringing legions of fans to the show.

That's true. I'm over here in Australia, although you can be sure I'll get the DVDs (when they come out, in about two years).

I really wish they hadn't left it till episode 4...

Also very much looking forward to seeing Dev Patel directed by Danny Boyd.

The casting notice describes her thus: "This wild woman is supernatural, articulate and polished. She feeds on the fears of others and is a BIG DEAL in season two. Nudity might be required."

I love how she gets to be both "wild" and "polished". ;)

Okay, right. Feeding on the fears of others? That sounds wicked, actually. And I'm sure she of all people can pull off that paradox. Whether naked or not.
