I'm exactly the same way! It's like how proud I was of McAvoy when he started getting noticed after Narnia and The Last King of Scotland. Except that Fassbender has gone even further and gotten himself genuine indie rep, starving himself to play Bobby Sands in Hunger and being in a Francois Ozon film. Fingers crossed that he can be the next Christian Bale. :)
WORST THING about those movies, I swear. Walker is irritating in everything.
I haven't mentioned lately how I can't wait for Virtuality. Seriously. And each time I somehow manage to forget Jimmi Simpson's in there, and in such a potentially interesting part, and then I am reminded and I squee even louder. :D
I'm disappointed we don't get to hear Paul's accent in that Secret Life of Bees trailer. (Yes, I'm a woman with an obsession. Or, actually, several obsessions, and Paul's one of them.)
I'm excited too! There's Simpson, who isn't in enough stuff, and also Coster-Waldau, Guillory, D'Arcy, DuVall. All these actor's I've used to seeing in obscure movies or BBC TV dramas.
I hope it's gotten better since Dogville. Although Paul playing a South Carolinan peach farmer is my main reason for wanting to see it. :)
