"Mia Wasikowska (In Treatment) is in negotiations to play the title character in Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland. "

DEAR FUCKING LORD that would be awesome.

She's such an impressive young actress. I wonder how Burton will work Depp into the film...

Live action Cowboy Bebop. No, thank you. If the promos I've seen for Dragonball Z are indicative of a Hollywood approach to anime, I'll stick with the series.

They do have such wildly different aesthetics. And not just anime - I can't think of any animation-to-live-action film that's made the translation well. Remember the horribleness that was The Flintstones?

Or Scooby Doo? Or Speed Racer? Or, or, or? The only one I can remember enjoying a little was Josie and the Pussycats, but if you throw Alan Cumming and Parker Posey into something, I'm going to at least half enjoy it.

I'm kinda scared that Burton's taking on Alice in Wonderland. Seeing what he did with Willy Wonka... O_o

Oh yeah. But then, I didn't like the original Willy Wonka either.
