Perfect Creature is the most comic book-ish movie I've seen that ISN'T actually based on a comic book or graphic novel, and I mean that in the best sense.

I remember reading about this years ago in the production stage, but I forgot about it when it never got a cinematic release here. It is SO much better than I expected it to be. The generic horror-style poster is very misleading.

Oh! It's not a new film. Yay! I can order it from my online dvd rental club and not have to worry about remembering it in a couple of weeks time.

Yay! I'm glad I'm not the only one who's seen this! I bought the dvd on a whim after reading a review and really loved it.

Doesn't Saffron look just like Mina Harker in League? I'm still weirded out by the resemblance.

That sounds really cool...Love and Virtue sounds interesting, too.

(I don't know if you've read Frank Tallis' A Death in Vienna, but I think Saffron Burrows would be great as the female lead, Amelia. I wish more period crime pieces were made into movies.)

I know about the Max Lieberman books but have never read any of them. I'll check it out, if you think it's good.

I tried to find a copy at some shops in the city today, but they didn't have it, but I'll try again some other time. The copy I watched was a rental.
