"Hyperion" and "The Fall of Hyperion", as one feature

Thassit. I'm putting out an embargo on all my favourite novels. Nobody touches them or tries to turn them into films. Now all I need to do is conquer the multiverse to enforce this.
Oddly enough, I was contemplating an Endymion re-read this morning and thinking about how it ends. *sigh*
Highly highly recommend the books, most definitely! I'm still trying to get through Olympos, myself. Argk.
*lol* It's a terrifyingly awesome image, isn't it? Saw the movie first, then read the book. I actually really disliked the movie but loved Tom Long's performance. The book is INFINITELY better, seriously. And I just finished a re-read so I feel even more passionate about the differences. It's just ... mindbogglingly brilliant. I suspect my dislike of the movie is a purely subjective thing cos the friend I went to see it with liked it very much and it's certainly quite interesting to see how they changed the details from book to movie. I would recommend both, definitely, but the book more.
You know, it's like a mirror image of In The Cut and not just because of the content but the incredibly beautiful and unique literary style. If that helps to give you some context.
I wish BBC America had shown more than the first four episodes of NY-LON. I actually really enjoyed it and will probably tune in to the new one. I'm not a fan of Elisha Cuthbert, though.
Haven't seen NY-LON. I was watching this other BBC drama that I'd never heard of before, Party Animals, last night though, and was kept up till 6am by it. I'm quite depressed about it not getting a second series.

Well the "High Moon" thing is sort of obvious, but still, funny :)

Didn't stop me from mistyping it as "High Noon" at least twice.
The whole thing sounds like From Dusk Till Dawn to me.
