It's true. The generation before mine - the 30-plus's - make talking about politics and taking digs at local politicians a sort of daily ritual. It's not like they say anything very new, but they don't have the indifference that people my age seem to display. Couple of people at the office have asked me what papers in Australia say about China, but they seem to be exception rather than the rule.
