Has wardrobe and music gotten better all of a sudden or is it just my imagination?
Just your imagination. LOLS. There are still some terrible, TERRIBLE music transitions on the show. And I was certain the whole time that the victimized chick was 14.

OH SHOW. It was so deliciously over the top and epic in that last scene; I'm REALLY interested in how this is going to progress, especially in regards to the promo for next week (OH DARLA).

I missed Josef too; he was SO EXCELLENT in that last one with his timid leap up to the second story, that I want Mick+Josef to fight crime EVERY EPISODE.

How old was the chick supposed to be again? About 20? I thought the way she kept asking Beth about the goo-goo eyes Mick was making at her was laid on a bit thick.

In my version of the episode, Josef was carrying out his own investigations into Morgan/Coraline behind Mick's back.

Really I just thought this episode was as ridiculous as usual but with no Josef to tide me over. I may have actually laughed out loud at the cheesy-ness, although I did feel very bad for the witness girl.

Mick's vampire hunting kit was awesome and I agree that it's probably usually Josef sending him out. I really want a scene of Mick telling Josef to go fight his own battles for once. for the plot development, you know, not because I want to watch Josef kick the teeth out of a bunch of vampire punks.

No selfish motives. What?

I'm not sure that Josef would handle himself very well in a fight, to be honest - we've already seen that age doesn't give a vamp all that much of an edge in speed and strength. And I suspect Josef is more used to running from the mob with pitchforks than fighting them. If he had to take out a bunch of vampire punks, I think he would think through it, and do it the most effortless way possible. He wouldn't shrink from using a gun. With fragmenting silver bullets, of course.

Well, I would also enjoy watching that. Anything that gets him more screen time.

Yes! I felt the story was less predictable than usual this episode. Like, how the priest didn't have some evil motive for turning the cult leader - he just wanted a bit of cash. And I liked that Shepherd didn't do the cliched animal bite into the Hollywood producer's neck. The way he caught the blood in the whiskey glass and than drank it showed how quickly he'd become accustomed to being a vampire, when Mick was still struggling with it after 60 years.

That would certainly be the definition of not nagging. I really hope the show gives Josef his own storyline soon...

I liked few things Beth was wearing in the episode 1.07 but in the 1.08 Mick has such low-rise pants that I was remembering you (!!!) and your evil comment all the time. :D

The final scene on the roof at dawn, I finally felt a twinge of the MickBeth chemistry that some of you guys have seen from the beginning

YOU are are coming round to it. :D I thought it was beautifully done...
