Look at Brain Darling in his clergyman's collar and his evil smirk! Glenn Fitzgerald isn't the only reason I'm watching Dirty Sexy Money (and loving it), but he's definitely the highlight. ( spoilers for 1x04 )

It also reminds of of a series of YA books by an Australian author that I read more than a decade ago, where a group of teenagers went into this virtual-reality game environment. I just can't remember what it was called...

Space Demons and the sequel Skymaze?

Loved those books back in the day :D

Those are the ones! I was hoping a fellow Aussie would remember.

Hallo!

dorukai has told me on more than one occasion that you and I have a great deal in common. Well, on the last occasion, he also said we might loathe each other. Which naturally made me curious and now that I've looked at your interests and posts, I'm inclined to agree with him about the commonality thing. As for the other, well, pfft, he's clearly wrong already. Half, anyway. :p

Loathe? Me? I would never loathe anyone, why would he think that? I'm sweet, and perky, and nice to everybody!

*surreptitiously pinches Chris on the elbow*

Reading your latest post, you sound like somebody after my own heart. :)

*lol* I believe his concern is that two people of strong opinions on things of pop culture may not make for peaceable relations.

I said to him "I like people with strong opinions! It's the people with no opinions I don't like!"

Hee. Awesome! Also I am totally hearting your Pratchett icon. One of my favouritest lines!

It's just genius, isn't it? I loved Pratchett's latest book. There is not nearly enough satire about economics in the world. Apart from some of JK Galbraith's novels, I'm hard pressed to think of any.

Karl Urban. Yesssss.

Okay, yeah, he's well fit etc., but I also think he's pretty hilarious. Actually, I'm fairly sure all the main cast has great comedic timing. Can't wait for the high-larity!

(It's going to be interesting to see both Star Trek and Star Wars essentially redone 'for a new generation' at about the same time.)

OH THE XENA DAYS. I think Urban's Caesar was one of my favourite characters on that show ever. His comic abilities have been much under-utilised since he came to Hollywood.

Star Wars is getting redone?

After I learned he was in, I hit YouTube for Hercules/Xena clips, and the astonishing thing is, so much of it is still funny to me. HEY, REMEMBER HIS CUPID WINGS? LOL. I was always afraid that he'd hit a cardboard pillar the wrong way and they would snap off.

Re: SW I guess I meant that live-action tv show George Lucas keeps threatening to inflict on the world. Which will either be good, or TERRIBLE.
