Noooo! I want clever gay Syd, and the cute lawyer, and the unfinished relationship between Cal and Anne. That love triangle is sure to be emphasised in the film, but I want it to remain a complicating factor to the main plot, rather than a driving motivation. I want it to be like The Insider and All The President's Men - about the pursuit of journalistic truth. I am probably doomed to be disappointed. Still, Abbott is executive producer, and Gilroy is a much better writer than Carnahan, so I hope that it won't suffer too badly.
